Supporting a wide range of file formats of simulations such as rFactor 2, Assetto Corsa, GTR Evolution, NASCAR Racing 2003 and Grand Prix Legends, 3DSimED is a visual editor for car and track makers. When saving objects the moveable or billboard attributes need to be set to true for the pivot point to be saved.Įnhanced: F1 MTS objects always use pivot points and handling of transparency has been improved.Įnhanced: Texture browser dialog has a new ‘Show Alpha=0 as magenta’ checkbox which allows the rgb of a transparent texture to be shown if unticked.Įnhanced: Texture browser dialog has a new ‘Recent Folder’ button.Įnhanced: The Tag Attributes for objects now include Day/Night and VisGroups.Įnhanced: The Tools->Missing Textures and Objects now lists missing shaders (these are the shaders missing this session for all drawings opened).Įnhanced: The handling of ‘wildcard’ materials for rFactor vehicles and GTR2/Race cars is improved.įixed: Decompressing a PSSG could fail because too much memory was reserved.įixed: F1-2015 DDS texures had an incorrect number of mipmaps set in the header which caused problems in some image editors. Pretty sure 3Dsimed exports in centimeters, so you have to change the FBX import units to centimeters as well. then scroll down and change the import unit to match the model's scale. Earlier versions of 3DSimED could import Forza 7 models with the Forza Apex Import Plugin but version 3. carbin and the whole model will be loaded CHANGELOG New: Forza 7 Support. New: Import Plugin for F1-2015 to allow individual objects (*.render.erp) to be imported.Įnhanced: Shader selection dialog now includes a game filter.Įnhanced: FBX Export Plugin includes option to store vertex information by control point which can considerably reduce the size of the FBX.Įnhanced: Vertex and Pixel Shaders are compiled when required, this reduces start-up times particularly if there are many custom shaders.Įnhanced: The pivot points are always written when saving an rF1 or rF2 model. when you import the FBX in MAX, you have to pay attention to the model's scale, in the import dialog. Open 3DsimED and select FM6 Apex, FM7 or FH3. New: Shader for Assetto Corsa to show car liveries. New: Export Plugin Export as Objects saves objects to disk as individual models. Replace Missing and Loaded Textures searches a folder for textures to replace those already loaded and those which are missing. Replace Only Missing Textures searches a folder for those textures that are presently missing from a drawing. New: Texture Replace from Folder adds two new functions helping with quickly adding textures from a folder. gmt with the correct encryption (requires rfactordec.exe). Car and track shaders from Automobilista are included as are new functions to export.
#FBX IMPORT 3DSIMED FULL#
The big news for this new version is full support for Reiza’s Automobilista title, including the unique car & track shaders for Reiza’s newest title. Looks like one sign bit, anywhere from 0-5 bits for an exponent, and the rest as the significand.Dave Noonan has released a new version of his 3DSimED modding tool that allows visual editing of both cars and tracks from various simulations. Videotutorial su come importare un circuito di NFS Shift in 3D Sim Editor per poi esportarlo in formato rFactor, importarlo poi in 3D Max e usarlo poi in netK. Since the data is not in any standard floating point format though, this leads me to believe that the data is instead possibly packed for extra precision? It seems like I will have to go your route and pick apart the bits and assume this being a nonstandard 32-bit floating point format. The thing that throws me off the idea of data being packed to save space is that each vertex is already 40 bytes in length, and I can't imagine them containing much more information than that. Now this might not be the case here, since these files are compressed anyways, but there would still probably be some space saved regardless. The extra processing power is also pretty negligible compared to the amount of time saved from cutting disk access in half.
#FBX IMPORT 3DSIMED UPDATE#
I wasn't sure if I need to update my FBX imp. Whether I use import menu or simply drag and drop, nothing happens. I used to be able to import FBX files fine but now nothing happens. Tip: If you are writing a script and want to prevent the FBX UI from appearing each time a file is imported, use the following command to suppress the FBX UI on import: FBXImport -file 'c:/myfile. When relative to a bounding box, they can be just as precise. I'm using 3DSMAX 2015 student version at college and am trying to import an fbx file of a product made by a friend. The following MEL commands are used to emulate import options in the FBX importer user interface.

It's actually quite common for programs to pack floats into 16-bit integers.
